Mr. Attitude is getting better
We still have our days, but he's getting better with his attitude. This year has been the most challenging to me in terms of parenting a toddler. It's been rough trying to keep him grounded and getting him to listen. He's become very independent, and I like that, but he's got to understand, he still has rules to abide by.
He's very good at saying, "I want...I want...I need...I need..." So, we're trying to get rid of those types of starter sentences by teaching him that if he wants something, he needs to say, "May I have...". He's getting better, and he's beginning to start being that sweet little boy that he used to be. LOL. He's still sweet, it's just the attitude that I'm not liking at the moment.
In a couple of weeks, Caleb is going on a long bye bye to visit his TX grandparents. We're driving down for one weekend, meet in Dallas, then come back. Caleb will be with them for two weeks. EEEKKK!!! That's the longest he's been away from me. I'm nervous, not because he's with them for two weeks, but nervous because it's going to be a long time without him, and I'm going to miss him. The longest he's been away from me is a week when he went to MD with my folks last October. The first week will be fine, it's that second week that's going to be hard for me.
Of course, I'll talk with him and hear his voice while he's gone, so that will help TONS.
So, Mom and Dad C, make sure he uses his good manners before he gets anything. LOL. Of course, I don't know why I'm saying any of this stuff, becuase he'll be the perfect angel while he's there and act wonderful. It's only with us that he acts like this. LOL.
Wonder why that is?
But, it will be nice for him to see them, and they, him. If he does well, I'm sure we'll do it more often.
