On June 2, 2007 Kelsey Smith was kidnapped and murdered. She was taken from a neighborhood Target store at 7:10p. It's only a few blocks from where I work. Her body was found about 20 miles away near Longview Lake in a creek inside a wooded area. It's really been a surreal experience because she just graduated from High School only 10 days prior. Who would have thought that you had to watch yourself in a very busy area, in broad daylight. It just doesn't seem right. My thoughts and prayers are with the Smith family and her friends as the next few days are going to be extremely difficult. |
